My time in America was a great 10 days filled with lots of family and special memories.
Children make Christmas so fun and it was very special to be able to spend a lo
t of time with my nieces Abigail and Rebekah this Christmas. Christmas day we all sang Christmas carols while my sister (on piano) and Abigail
(on violin) accompanied us. Then we made gingerbread houses (yes that is the third time) but it was lots of fun and even though we had some minor architectural issues with one of the houses they are both still standing. :) (no, we did not all plan on wearing the same color - it just happened).
Abigail and Rebekah liked their "pocket purses" and their fans and jewelry from China and Rebekah was very excited about fanning her new doll with her fan.

We had a small dusting of snow one evening. My mom and I went for a walk at 10:15 just to enjoy it and it was great! The next morning the sky and street was beautiful. It was nice to see a little snow! :)
Other highlights included going to hear the bells (carillion) played on Christmas Eve at the Mercersburg Chapel, afternoons/evenings quilting by the fire, doing lots of cooking/baking with my mother and sister, and just being around family.
Well, my flight is delayed here in Dulles - hopefully it leaves soon.
